Genus One Helicoid
The Genus One Helicoid is the only known complete embedded minimal torus besides the Costa-Hoffman Meeks family. It was discovered by Hoffman, Karcher and Wei, and proved to be embedded by Hoffman, Weber and Wolf. It arises as the limit of a 1-parameter family of screw motion invariant helicoids with handles.
