The doubly periodic Meeks-Rosenberg surfaces

The doubly periodic Scherk surface has two families of ends, and the angle between these ends is always a positive number. There are other doubly periodic minimal surfaces with two families of parallel ends. One can imagine these by glueing singly periodic Scherk surfaces together.

Doubly parallel ends

This can be done in various ways, and one obtains different surfaces.
The space of such surfaces is not very well understood yet.
